About Rhythm of Reflection Christian Counseling

My name is Tamara Scott and I was born in St. Louis, MO raised in a single parent home in Chicago, IL. Our home was made up of me, my mother, sister, and brother. I cannot leave out God. Even though my mother lived a rather unstructured life, God was in it, and she made Him known to her children. Our fathers were not present in our lives although my brother and sister’s fathers were around.  At the age of 14, I was saved and baptized by water. Later that year, during a Girls Shut-In at our church, I was baptized in the Holy Spirit and began my journey in the Lord.

After learning about my God given gifts during my journey and finding out my husband was called to pastor, I began to question my purpose. God has called me into Christian Counseling. The call was very clear as I have always been the one that people were drawn to. Strangers will just walk up to me in a store and begin to tell me their situation. God had to get me to where I am now with Him before He disclosed my calling. I sat and ministered to my Nail Technician and a stranger came up to me and asked for my business card. I said I am not a Counselor and she said, "well you missed your calling". The very same day, my Pastor friend called me and said, "I just wanted you to know our college is starting back up, but we are only offering Christian Counseling." CALLING CONFIRMED! There are so many around me that are hurting and do not know how to get to the root of their hurt. God has called me to counsel and help others find healing through His Word.
